Natural do Brasil, guided by the belief in sustainable bioeconomy, has been promoting the socioeconomic development of traditional agroextractivist communities in the Amazon through the creation of alternative means of subsistence and access to income arising from fair trade relationships in bioingredients: (trunks, stems, leaves , seeds and fruits) with indigenous people, quilombolas and riverside dwellers who encourage the maintenance of the forest standing. These bioingredients are subjected to the best that innovation and technology can offer with a view to processing (cold) and extracting bioinputs, producing oils, extracts, resins and butters of the highest purity and quality. This is possible through the participation of socio-biodiversity cooperatives in the Forest Friendly Collection Project, which focuses on negotiating bio-inputs in an ethical and responsible manner, offering, in return, the mobilization of efforts for the construction of community headquarters, the necessary infrastructure to guarantee conditions worthy of work (training, cleaning, selection and storage of collected raw materials) and also for the consolidation of best environmental practices, positive engagement and continuous improvement. Communities receive training on good collection practices, which encourages the creation and cataloging of forest corridors, areas for the extraction of each type of raw material by season of the year, reducing and facilitating collection work and promoting continuous supply of raw materials to customers. In 2024, our objective is to expand the scope of the project and guarantee the construction of another 100 headquarters, and include in the training carried out the adoption of topics important to our operations, such as sustainability, social impact, climate action and human rights. Aware of our potential social, economic and environmental impact, Natural do Brasil follows its mission of enhancing the use of bio-ingredients from socio-biodiversity.
